About

I am always thinking about how I want to create more but hardly ever actually creating anything. And in the last 30 minutes or so that this idea has come together, and now that I’m on a Google Doc typing this little intro, I’ve felt this rush of creativity. From imagining what I can post on here, to what it can look like, and the idea of me actually keeping up with this and being able to scroll around in the future and see what I was enjoying and doing at this point in time.

This’ll really end up being a scrapbook of my life at this moment. There’s no real audience in mind except for, like, an older me. This can be a new hobby where I track some of the other countless hobbies I always pick up and drop after the initial excitement wears off, but this zine feels like it could keep me excited for a while.

Hoping to hold onto this energy for at least tomorrow, which is payday and when I’m actually going to buy the domain, sullyporter.com.

Sully Porter is my alias and started in high school when I was looking for a Twitter handle that I didn’t want connected to my name. Sully from Monsters, Inc. / sounding like my real name, and then Porter from Denise Porter, the character from White Chicks. I’m excited to do a whole section on here about White Chicks at some point.

Anyway, this feels fun, and I’m just going to try to keep it light and stress-free. I love overcomplicating stuff and getting in my head, and this, in a way, is going to be a challenge to keep doing something simply for the fact that I want to. I don’t always have to justify myself to myself.

I can online zine for the sake of online zineing.
